The Short Version

Bluetooth Lost BLE Finder helps you find the small things you carry — AirPods, a keys tag, headphones, a bag. To do that it remembers the devices you save and where each one was last near your Mac. All of it stays on your Mac and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. None of it is ever sent to us. The app has no server, no account, and no network access of any kind.

We Don’t Collect Your Data

There is no sign-up, no login, and no analytics. The app ships with outgoing network access switched off entirely — there is no code in it that can open an internet connection, so there is no channel through which your data could reach us even by accident. The App Store Privacy Nutrition Label reads “Data Not Collected.”

What the App Stores, and Where

For each device you choose to save, the app keeps its Bluetooth name, any nickname you give it, the icon you pick, the date you added it, and when and roughly where it was last near your Mac. If you turn on Location History it also keeps a short trail of recent sightings for that device. Everything is stored on your Mac by the operating system, inside the app’s sandbox. Nothing about a device is stored until you save it.

Location

Location is optional and only used for two things: recording roughly where a saved device was last near your Mac, and Safe Zones (“tell me if I leave home without my keys”). The app asks the system for approximately 100-metre accuracy — enough to say “near the café,” not enough to say which table. Location sightings are deleted automatically after 7 days. To turn a place name or a Look Around preview into something readable, the coordinate is sent to Apple Maps, which returns the name or image; that request goes from your Mac to Apple, never to us. You can revoke location access at any time in System Settings and the rest of the app keeps working.

iCloud Sync

If you are signed into iCloud, your saved devices and their history sync between your own Apple devices through your private iCloud database. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We are not a party to it and have no ability to read, export, or recover anything in it — Apple’s CloudKit gives developers access only to a public database, which this app does not use. One preference (“Show Distance While Tracking”) also syncs through iCloud. You can stop all of it by turning iCloud Drive off for this app in System Settings.

Bluetooth, and Other People’s Devices

Bluetooth is how the app works. It listens for the advertisements nearby devices broadcast, uses the signal strength to estimate how far away something is, and briefly connects to a device you own to read its battery level. The “Nearby” list shows whatever is broadcasting around you, which can include other people’s devices — that list lives only in memory while the app is running, is never written to disk, and is never transmitted anywhere. Only devices you explicitly save are stored.

Safety Scan

Safety Scan looks for unknown Bluetooth devices that stay near you as you move around, so you can spot a tracker that isn’t yours. Everything it observes is held in memory for the length of the scan and discarded when the scan ends or the app quits. No scan result is saved, uploaded, or shared. Be aware of the limitation the scan itself states: some trackers change their Bluetooth identity every few minutes, which this scan cannot follow, so a clean result is not proof.

Notifications

Separation alerts, left-behind alerts, and low-battery warnings are local notifications, created on your Mac by the app itself. There is no push server and we send you nothing. The app does use Apple’s push infrastructure for one thing only — letting iCloud tell your Mac that your own data changed on another of your devices — which carries no message or content from us.

Purchases

ExactTrack Pro is handled entirely by Apple’s StoreKit. Apple shares only your receipt and entitlement status with the app — never your payment details, Apple Account email, or real name. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings, and refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no access to your billing information.

No Analytics, Tracking, or Ads

The app contains no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), device fingerprinting, or App Tracking Transparency. We do not build a profile of you, and we never sell or share your data — because we never receive it.

Deleting Your Data

Removing a saved device in the app deletes it and its location history immediately, on every device signed into the same iCloud account. Deleting the app removes everything it stored locally. To clear anything left in iCloud, turn iCloud Drive off for this app in System Settings. Because we never hold your data, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
